Design Engineering
Design Engineering spans Research through Detailed Design
principally of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Control Systems. BPTi design t eams
have integrated and developed many products and systems; an example being our
Parallel Hybrid Electric Truck Transmission designed by BPTi and integrated with
our customer's electric motors and controls. Drawings are furnished on
Pro-E and AutoCad. BPTi's vast experience with manufacturing &
producibility smoothes the transition to production and aids our ability to
execute on short cycle programs..
Analysis, Modeling &
Simulation
BPTi offers solid modeling,
performance simulation, life
cycle, and fatigue analysis
on all our designs. In
additi on,
Pro-E Mechanica and
Mechanisms are used for
in-house structural and
motion analyses, while very
complex analyses are
directed by BPTi to skilled
subcontractors for
execution.
Product Development &
Prototyping

Production & Assembly
Procurement, assembly and test of complex prototype or production systems are no
problem for BPTi. BPTi has easily
manufactured up to 1000 hybrid bus
transmissions per year already. Our manufacturing engineers are experts in
Manufacturing Process Development, Facility Layout and Process Tooling.
Test & Evaluation
BPTi has extensive experience
with component, assembly and system tes ting
in all types of environments and simulated operating conditions especially
related to vehicles, powertrains, and drive systems. BPTi is expert at
developing test plans and procedures, fixtures and facilities as well as data
instrumentation, collection, evaluation and analysis.
Failure Analysis
While no one likes to fail, we often learn t he
most from 'failures'. BPTi has the ability to conduct
metallurgical assessments, failure modes and root cause analysis and the
capability to offer corrective action, design upgrades and/or enhancements.
